The University of Technology hosted the comprehensive exam for graduates of the Faculty of Science City / Department of Accounting before admission with the participation of 99 students on Monday, 15/5/2017, with two centers, the first in the Department of Computer Science and the second center in the Center for Information Technology. Prof. dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Attieh, vice President for Scientific Affairs and Dr. Ali Razzouki, Director of private Education at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. dr. Riyad Hassan Al-Anbari, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee, Assist. Prof. dr.Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab Head of Computer Science Department , Assist. Prof. dr.Rana Farid Ghani, Director of the Information Technology Center, oversees the exam center at the Information Technology Center, Assist. Prof. dr. Iyad Rohdan Abbas Administrative Assistant of the Department of Computer Science as a Supervisor of the exam center in the Department of Computer Science and (Assist. Programmer Fadel Abbas Fadel and Assist. Programmer Mohammed Thamer Abdul Hadi) for the management of software for the electronic system.
 It is worth mentioning that the Department of Computer Science has designed the integrated electronic system for the comprehensive examination of graduates of civil colleges before recognition, which is part of the achievements of the Electronic Systems Committee in the section to build integrated systems under the principle of achieving e-government and activation.

The Environmental Research Center at the University of Technology has organized a panel discussion at which the assist. lecturer Zahra Zahrao Farhan has delivered a lecture about the hydrolysis of hydrocarbons by microorganisms on the blue hall on Wednesday 31/5/2017.
 
 The researcher has pointed to the oil pollution, which is one of the most dangerous types of pollution on environmental systems, as there are many research conducted to eliminate environmental pollutants caused by the continuous accidents of oil tankers and oil pipelines. More recently, microorganisms have been used to get rid of oil contaminants.
 Bacteria are one of the best microorganisms in biodegradation because of their ability to exploit the carbon compounds in oil as their source of energy and they have a great ability to adapt to the medium in which they live through their enzymatic system.

The President of the University of Technology Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamer inspected the final exams for the first attempt for the academic year 2016-2017 in the Department of Control and Systems Engineering at the University in the presence of the Head of Department Assist. The UOT Vice President for administrative affairs, Dr. Sami Abu Al-Nun Ajeel, inspected the final exams for students of scientific and engineering departments for the academic year 2016-2017.

A group of students from the Department of Electromechanical Engineering in cooperation with the Iraqi National Blood Bank organized a national campaign to donate blood to the wounded of the security forces and the popular army at Al-Kindi Hall in the section. The campaign was attended by a large number of professors and associates and students from various departments. A hundred blood bottles were collected in support of the sacrifices of our heroic soldiers In the face of terrorist groups.
 The head of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering, Dr. Hisham Selim, stressed the efforts made by the students in organizing this campaign, stressing that this is a recognition of the great sacrifices made by our heroic army and our courageous mobilization, calling on Allah to keep and heal them.
