Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Sabah Al-Araji, in collaboration with researcher Noor Kassem from the Department of Engineering and Control Systems, have participated in the 7th International Engineering Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Baghdad, IEEE - Union of Arab Universities under the title "Modern Trends in Engineering Sciences and Sustainability" :
"A nonlinear controlled design of a motorized robot wheel based on the algorithm of hybrid optimization (Bees and Particle Optimization) that is perceived, alive and connected."
The aim of the research is to compare between different types of live-aware algorithms related to the nonlinear control proposed to track the wheel of the motor robot that has the ability to track the desired continuous path.
A hybrid optimization algorithm (bees, particle aggregation optimization) was proposed to learn and tune the values of the neurotransmitter gain and to quickly and simply characterize the tone technique in a vivid and connected manner.
The best controlled determination of the right and left wheel of the robot was generated in a live and connected manner through the proposed control. The simulation results show that the nonlinear controlled ruler with the perceived hybrids algorithm is more accurate in terms of teaching and toning controlling elements in a live and Perform smooth control as well as reduce the sequential error of the robot wheel.
Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Sabah Al-Araji and researcher Nur Qassem have received a certificate of appreciation in appreciation of their valuable efforts and appreciation of their participation in the conference.

The assistant prof. dr, Faraj Mahal Mohamed from electromechanical engineering department has published a joint research paper in the magazine of the Iraqi Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Engineering entitled:
Dynamic behavior investigation of laminate composite plate
Study of the dynamic behavior of composite sheets
Four types of composite plates were produced for six layers with a 30% volumetric fracture. Mechanical properties were also calculated in terms of tensile strength and shock resistance. The test was tested for samples of S-N curves and the conclusion of relationships. The mechanical properties and mechanical response test have been carried out in room temperature reagents OC30, Zero, and OC30- so the refrigerator was designed and manufactured to achieve the particular required test degree.

The Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Technology held a public meeting chaired by the President of the University, Dr. Amin Dway Thamer, in the presence of the Head of the Department, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban and his scientific and administrative assistants and faculty members in the Hall of the Department Council on Wednesday, 2017.
The university president said that the trust obtained by the university through the adoption of the national project
(Independence) and choose the university among the Iraqi universities to be the first model is to success this project and that the success of this national project depends on the efforts of teachers and excellence because it needs the support of everyone and support and contribute to its success.
He stressed the preservation of the university's reputation and development through keeping pace with global developments. This comes with the active contribution of researchers and technical and administrative staff. It contributes to the scientific research process by providing scientific research according to international classifications and inviting researchers to exert more effort and progress. In terms of evaluation, which makes it easier for the researcher to publish a sound science, which enhances the scientific value of published research.
He said that the success of any department of university is linked to the souls and intentions that must be at the level of high solidarity to enhance this success, which is reflected in turn on the success and progress of the university as the university has goals and plans on the near and distant perspective, which enhance the process of development and advancement of scientific level.
The president insisted to follow-up the final examinations and the preparation of all the necessary requirements for success
The Head of Materials Engineering Department, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, stressed the need to comply fully with the exam instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the practical commitment to attend the examinations of the exam and the preparation of test questions through the required forms and according to instructions and strict supervision by officials Examination halls for student performance and emergency cases.
At the end of this meeting, the head of the department called on all teachers to make the final examinations of the department a success, wishing all conciliators and exerting more efforts to serve our dear country.

Prof. Alia Hussein Abdul Salam has participated in the International Scientific Conference held at the College of Engineering / University of Baghdad in cooperation with IEEE on the latest trends in engineering sciences and sustainability.
She has participated in her research (Comparison between the Mechanical and Morphological Properties of binary polymer blends).
Comparison between mechanical and microscopic properties of binary polymeric mixtures.
The importance of the mixing process in the manufacture of samples where polymers are important materials due to their extensive use in most industrial applications and for different purposes in our daily lives because of their exceptional characteristics as easy to manufacture and light weight and many of its engineering properties which can be adapted to different applications by technology Blending "to form polymeric mixtures.
