The students of Computer Engineering Department at the University of Technology represented by the Committee of Social Activity, headed by Asst.Prof.Dr.Hassan Jalil and a number of the lecturers of the department headed by Prof.Dr.Emad Husseini organized a visit to Al-Ain Charitable Institute for Social Welfare.

The delegation was briefed on the humanitarian efforts provided by the institute and caring orphans and made a tour of all facilities of the social and health sections.

The department donates some amount of money which was collected from the employees of the department to contribute and help some orphaned children.

Materials Engineering Department at the University of Technology held a discussion workshop on ceramic materials technology and application which was presented by Asst.Prof.Dr.Fadel Abd.

The workshop includes five axes. The first and second axes were a general description of the ceramic materials of all kinds, and the global need for such materials, including electronic applications, magnetic applications and applications of superconductivity ceramics in terms of type, use, materials and related characteristics.

The third axis was associated with a part of the process of preparation of nanomaterials and the fourth axis related to the characterization of the ceramic membranes and their global trends,

The fourth axis presents the general description of refractory and the fifth axis, which ensures the nature, characteristics and types of electrical ceramic insulators.

Within the directives University of Technology Rector Prof.Dr.Amin Douai to follow-up the administrative and technical reality of the internal sections of the students, a delegation headed by the head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Asst.Prof.Dr.Khalid Ajami and scientific assistant Dr. Adnan Abdul and administrative assistant Dr. Walla Abdul Hadi and Dr. Zaidon Mohsen visited the internal section No. 5 in the presence of the Director of the Interior Department Mr. Abbas Mahdi and the administrative staff of the internal section.

During the visit, the delegation learned about the residential reality and the atmosphere that was provided to the students by the Directorate of Internal Departments during the examination period.

The head of the department expressed his thanks and gratitude for the efforts exerted by the Department of Interior to provide all the requirements to our dear students at all times, especially in the examination period. The visit also included the distribution of lunch  meal to the students in the internal section as an initiative of the professors of the Department of Chemical Engineering.

The university team of the government program at the university of technology discussed the mechanisms of implementation of the governmental program within the time frames set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research at the meeting held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdel-Hassan Attia,

The meeting reviewed the government program of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for projects and programs until 2022. The discussion of the mechanism of administration, organization and follow-up of the implementation of the objectives, projects and programs of the government program. And how to prepare the plan of the government program of the University of Technology. And a plan of action for the government program committee at the university. As well as explaining all the objectives and projects and programs of the Ministry and required to be implemented during the next four years with an explanation of how to implement all programs and activities at the University of Technology.

The meeting dealt with the national classification of the quality of Iraqi universities, applied scientific research projects, activating twinning programs with international universities, research fellowships for teachers, and providing the elements of an investment environment in order to encourage the expansion factor in government colleges.

The Committee discussed the best ways and means possible to implement the objectives of the ministry identified through a number of programs and activities within the university with the development of plans and timetables for implementation and follow-up.

It is decided to establish multiple committees, where each committee is responsible for the implementation of the project entrusted to it and follow up the implementation of all programs related to it with the preparation of periodic reports and percentages of achievement.

It is worth noting that the objectives of the government program of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research are five main goals: the entry of Iraqi universities into international classifications, the real twinning of Iraqi universities with international universities, the reduction of slack, Parallel education, in addition to investing in expanding government colleges and raising their scientific and academic levels by the Iraqi and foreign private sector.

The Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Technology holds seminars for postgraduate students to discuss the course of students' research at the Engineering Engineering Department at the discussion hall in the department .Asst.Prof Dr. Mohammed Jafar Hammoud Chairman of the Graduate Studies Committee Asst.Prof Dr.  Nisreen Saleh Mohammed, the committee's rapporteur and a number of professors and graduate students
