Within the framework of deepening cooperation horizons between the University of Technology and the global academic institutions sober in service of the academic community in Iraq and the world by activating the agreements concluded between the University of Technology and the two platforms (Coursera) and the global (edX) in which major international institutions and universities such as Harvard and MIT, Yale, UCL, Microsoft, Autodesk, and others, and within the first step procedures to join the University of Technology within these two global platforms

The university launched the registration form on the e-learning initiative for employees and students and graduates of the University of Technology across the two platforms, where participants will receive through this initiative a 100% discount on participation fees in most of the official courses / training courses provided by these two platforms with obtaining official certificates (Verified) issued For the institutions and universities affiliated with any of these platforms

Environmental Research Center at UOT  provides  needy families with food by a charitable campaign

The Environmental Research Center at the University of Technology carried out a charitable campaign to distribute the food to needy families through collective efforts by the center's employees.

 It is mentioned that the number of distributed rations is 100 unit that included sixteen food items.
On this occasion, the Center extends its sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone who donated , participated and contributed in preparing materials for the Ramadan furthermore the thanks are extended to everyone who participated in the purchase, arrangement and distribution of these materials to needy families.
They prayed to God Almighty to make our country safe, stable and free from pandemic and calamity.

University of Technology enters the global platform Edx

University of Technology President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan El-Ghabban congratulated UOT professors, Lecturers and employees for entering the university on Edx global platform and obtaining 5000 free seats, wishing them more efforts to raise the university's name high in all international forums.

It is mentioned that each seat will provide free admission for the courses provided by the platform with Official Track system, that is, the certificate issued upon completion the course is an official certificate issued by the university (Harvard, MIT, Zurich and others).

The Environmental Research Center at the University of Technology holds a lecture on "Autophagy and Sustainable Health" Using the ZOOM platform

ithin the program of the cultural season of the Environmental Research Center for the academic year (2019-2020), Assistant Professor Basem Hashem Faraj-Lecturer at the Center for Sustainable Development dep. on Tuesday 12/5/2020 at 12:30 pm presented a lecture (remote using the ZOOM platform) Entitled "Autophagy and Sustainable Health". The lecturer explained that Autophagy can be defined as a natural regeneration process that occurs at the level of the cell in the body where the cells get rid of their damaged components (cytoplasm) or unnecessary such as harmful proteins and cells consuming and others and the process of renewing itself and producing energy on a regular basis to maintain its vital functions.

The concept of autophagy has taken an important place in recent research and studies where it is believed to be important in helping to reduce the incidence of some diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's, diabetes, aging and others. Consequently, the researcher recommended the necessity of continuing solid scientific research in this field and providing material and technical support to researchers to reach the best results with regard to human health and its preservation within the framework of sustainable health.
