Electrical Engineering Department grants MSC to the student Sarah Hussein for her thesis (--------).

The researchers showed in her research three methods for the neural networks; and they are BPNN, RBFN and KNN. Two databases were adopted to evaluate the performance of the proposed techniques. First, the database is available online from the University of California (UCI), which classifies the data into two categories (presence or absence of disease).

Second database is the real database which was obtained from the Hospital of Gastroenterology and Liver Education in Baghdad City of Medicine, which classifies the data into five categories depending on the severity of the disease: normal, chronic hepatitis, simple liver cirrhosis, moderate hepatic fibrosis.

The discussion committee was chaired Asst.Prof.Dr.Ehab Abdul-Razaq, and Asst.Prof.Dr.Evan Abdul-Zahraa and Asst.Prof.Dr.Manal Jassim as members. Asst.Prof.Dr.Hadeel Nasrat and Lect.Dr.Bassam Hameed as supervisors.
