Laser Engineering Department awards MSc
Laser and Optical Electronics Engineering Department at UOT has awarded MSc for the student (Raghad Hani Muhammad), specializing in laser engineering, for her thesis (design and carry on optical crystal fibers for some medical applications).
The aim of the study is to design a sensor to measure the proportion of zinc in its various concentrations in the blood and plasma of both sexes, male and female.
The researcher concluded that the change in the concentration of zinc in the blood directly affects the immunity of the human body, as it is necessary to maintain the natural ratio of zinc in the body so that the immunity is high to resist infection with the Corona pandemic.
