Applied Science Dep. discuss M.A thesis

Applied Science Dep. at UOT discussed M.A thesis entitled (Face Emotion Detection and Recognition based on Deep Convolution Neural Network)

The thesis of the student (Shymaa A. Mohammed/ Mathematics & computer application discipline) Face detection presents significant and complex challenges when using traditional and advanced methods, and the main reason for this difficulty is the huge amount of data embedded in facial image features, which takes a long time to analyze. Artificial intelligence techniques such as neural networks and related algorithms require a long process in modern technology. Using traditional neural networks requires a long training period and runs the risk to avoid local minimums. Due to its ability to explore complex search spaces, a new and efficient method has been recently used convolutional network (CNN) algorithms augmented with (ChWCNN) to improve the performance of face recognition when the image is subjected to non-linear effects such as high light contrast.
