The Materials Engineering Department at the University of Technology won the first prize of the International Scientific Conference on Renewable Energy and Technologies (TMREES18), which was held in Lebanon - Beirut from 1-3 February 2018 with the participation of more than 12 countries and 39 researches form Iraq of 18 researchers from different Iraqi universities represented by the University of Technology and the University of Baghdad and the University of Mustansiriya.

The participation of the university through the research entitled "Effect of polymer coating on the adhesion of the bone to titanium maturation" of the teaching staff in the Department of Materials Engineering, Asst.ProF.Dr.Amad Saadi,  lec.Dr. Fatima Jafar and Lect.Dr.Manar Abdul Jabbar
