Technology lays the Ground work Adopting a Solid Global Electronic Learning Platform
The UOT has laid the groundwork stone in adopting a global electronic learning platform, which is the CANVAS LMS electronic learning platform
Achieving the quality requirements of electronic education launched by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and under the direction of the President of the UOT, Prof. Dr. Ahmed M. Hassan Al-Ghaban, and the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abed-Dhahad, where the Multimedia and E-Learning Center at the University held a specialized workshop To certify the Canvas platform in the final tests for non-core materials and participate in the workshop
UOT President/ Prof. Ahmed Al-Ghabban and both Vice-president for Scientific Affairs Prof. Dr. Heider Abed Dhahad and, Prof.Dr. Hussein H. Karim/ Vice-president for administrative Affairs with the presence of the Heads of the scientific and engineering Depts., trainers and trainees, graduates of the (Training of Trainers course for the Canvas LMS E-learning system) in order to clarify the technical capabilities provided by this platform and how to employ it in the performance of electronic exams at UOT , Three lectures were presented in the workshop, the first of which was about the electronic examination mechanism that is proposed to be adopted in the final first semester exams, and its mechanism was explained and Presented Prof. Dr. Heider Abed Dhahad, followed by a lecture by the Director of the Center for Multimedia and E-learning, Asst. Prof. Dr. Uday Ali Ahmed. The mechanism of transformation from Google Workspace to the Canvas platform was explained and the most important features of the last platform, and then a lecture was given by the head of the Educational Digital Transformation Division at the Media Center Multiplicity and E-learning Asst. Lect. Saleh S. Saleh gave a practical lecture on how to conduct the online test on the Canvas platform.
At the end of the workshop, the participants asked a group of questions and inquiries regarding the approved electronic platform, and Prof Dr. Al-Ghaban presented certificates of appreciation to the trainees and graduates of the course in support of them for their efforts to raise the university rank.
