A seminar for postgraduate students in the Department of Chemical Engineering

Within the cultural season of the first semester of the Chemical Engineering Department, a remote discussion session for postgraduate students (Masters) / the research phase was held by the student Yunus Hassan Khalaf under the title

(Manufacture and examination of the catalyst zeolite wye loaded with platinum and zirconium minerals for the purpose of light naphtha isomerization)

The student explained that the research aims to manufacture Zeolite HY cofactor and load it with several percent of platinum and zirconium minerals for the purpose of determining the best mixing ratio that gives a good catalyst performance in light naphtha isomerization. SEM

And it was successful.

In the same context, the student Abeer Ghazi Seminar discussed the title

(Recovery of ethanol from ethanol / water solutions using membrane distillation)

The student showed that the aim of the research is to treat water containing ethanol concentrations between% wt (3-10) پ using commercial flat sheet films of poly-tetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) with an average pore size of 0.2 μm.

The effect of operating conditions such as temperature, solution concentration, volumetric flow rate of the incoming solution and absolute pressure (in the separation zone) on the outflow rate is studied.

The seminar was attended by the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Jamal Manea Al-Rubaie, and a group of department professors, masters and doctoral students.
