Computer Eng. Dep. hold an awareness symposium
Computer Eng. Dep. at UOT under the auspices of the head of the department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hassan Jalil Hassan, an awareness seminar entitled (the importance and knowledge of university life for freshman students), in the presence of the head of the Information Engineering Branch, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Najm Abdullah and Head of the Network Engineering Branch Lec. Dr. Amir Musa, and the lecture was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Abdel-Wahab.
The lecture dealt with four pivots: -
The first one included topic of gathering and instructions that govern it, and the main difference between gathering in middle school and university, and defined the concept of gathering, which is meant by the presence of both men and women in a specific place for the purpose of study, work, or hiking, whatever the purpose, gathering is a secondary thing, but the main purpose lies in the specialized value of the place of gathering, and gathering must be understood within the frameworks defined by the true religion and the purposes of the public interest.
The second one, in which he talked about time investment in the university in order to seize opportunities to obtain general culture and define personal features in addition to creativity in the field of academic specialization.
the third one touched on how to select fellowships and determine university relations within specific criteria and controls.
the last and important pivot, talked about regulation of relationship and dealings between students and faculty members and keeping mutual respect between the two parties, where the value of lecturer lies in the service it provides to students and his great role in elucidate and identify the student personality and acquiring Scientific and intellectual knowledge.
There was interaction by discussion, intervention, and asking questions, and the students contributed to expressing their opinions with transparency and clarity
Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Wahab confirmed, at the conclusion of the symposium, to have a decent and appropriate appearance with specified value of the university by wearing clothes that suit university life to reserve the symbolism and sanctity of the university and not to exaggerate in showing the spoils of blessings and adhere to general controls to pay potential harm to others and deal with the other party within certain procedures required by the interest the general public, and taking into account the divine right to deal with the faculty staff because they are the nucleus for building personality, acquiring knowledge and creativity in the field of specialization, and drawing a road map towards a prosperous future.
