The basket of the Electromechanical Engineering Department wins the University of Technology Championship for students 

The Electromechanical Engineering Department team was crowned the Technological University Basketball Championship for students organized by the Student Activities Department, after defeating the Civil Engineering Department team 10-12 points in the final match that took place on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Tartan Stadium at the university and was led by referees Asst.L. Hussein Serih, Ali Fadel and Zainab Saadi, "second referee", and the timer Haider Hamid, and the referee of the table, Shahd Sattar.

The Computer Engineering Department team won the third place by defeating the Architecture Department team 10-5 points in the match for the third and fourth places, which preceded the final match of the championship.

At the end of the tournament competitions, the assistant president of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim, distributed individual and team prizes to the winning teams in the first places in the tournament and to the referees.

The Electromechanical Engineering Department team won first place after defeating the Laser and Optoelectronics Department in its first match 24-4 points, the Mechanical Engineering Department 7-15 points, and in the semi-finals the Architecture Engineering Department 7-16 points.
