Environmental Research Center is conducting an exercise activity for breast cancer screening

 

Under the auspices of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, and under the direct supervision of the Director of the Environment Research Center, Prof. Dr. Zainab Bahaa Muhammad. The Women Empowerment Unit, in cooperation with the Environmental Research Center and the Chemical, Biological and Radiological Safety and Security Division (CBRN) and the Health Center at the University of Technology, included an activity entitled "Practice for Cancer Screening" breasts" coinciding with the celebrations of International Women's Day, which falls on March 8, and under the slogan Iraqi women as partners in sustainable development in the Computer Engineering Hall.

The activity aimed to spread awareness and reduce the risks of breast cancer by introducing symptoms and treatment.

The practicing gynecologist and obstetrician / Mariam Hanu Mariosh from the university health center gave an awareness lecture regarding the necessity of conducting a periodic examination for women, which would lead to early detection of infection with this disease, and the doctor also conducted an examination for many university affiliates. The center's female members distributed pink ribbons to the attendees, as this activity is sometimes called the pink ribbon culture, which refers to increasing cultural awareness about combating breast cancer, which is the largest social movement concerned with women's health.
