Electrical Engineering Department gain University of Technology championship title of volleyball for students

Electrical Eng. Dep. team gained UOT Championship title of Volleyball for students within sports program for academic year 2022-2023 after its victory over the Architecture Department team in the final match that was held in UOT Stadium. It is attended by Assist President of Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein H. Karim, Director of Student Activities Department, Prof. Dr. Najah Salman, and a number of university lecturers and students.

The first half ended with the architecture department advancing (23-25) points, but the Electricity Department, led by coach Ali Ismail, managed to equalize the situation in the second half by winning (15-25), then succeeding the third set-off with a score (7-15) to gain first place.

The match was led by the first referee, Assist. Lec.Hussein Sareeh, the second, Haider Hamid, and table referees, Shahd Sattar, Lec. Dr. Nour Al-Huda Sattar, Lec. Dr. Maryam Abdul-Amir, Lec. Dr. Duaa Moheb Al-Din, and Zainab Saadi.

The team of the Electrical Engineering Department, the owner of the title, had won against two teams, Control and Systems Eng. Dep., with two runs (10-25,11-25), and Production Eng. And Metallurgy Dep. (22-25, 25-22,10-15), while Architecture Eng. Dep. defeated Civil Engineering team by two sets to one (14-25,11-25, 12-25) and Computer Science team by two sets without a response (13-25 , 22-25).

Assistant President of Administrative Affairs distributed prizes to the referees and the best player in the championship from Electrical Engineering Department, Ibrahim Abdul- Karim, prizes for individual and team to the first and second place winning teams.
