Computer Engineering Department hold a workshop

Computer Engineering Department at the University of Technology (with direct orientation of the Department Head  Assist. Prof .Dr. Hassan Jalil Hassan) held a workshop about how to apply the Bologna path in education for the academic year 2023-2024.

The workshop was chaired by the President Assistant of Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Musa, and in the presence of the Registration and Student Affairs Division Director, Assist. Lect. Safaa Kamel, directors and officials of each of the Documents and Graduates Division, the Financial and Accounting Division, the Information Technology Division, the Control and Internal Audit Unit, and the Legal Unit.

The President Assistant of Administrative Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmed Musa talks in this workshop about the instructions of this new project that must be adhered to and applied during the new academic year 2024.

The workshop included an introduction to the Bologna Path guide and the offer many suggestions in order to implement the project in an easy way, to overcome obstacles and achieve better results, and urged to launch a private channel with activating emails for Divisions' Managers and officials to see details related to this system and present lectures and workshops introducing it.

It is mentioned that the concept of Bologna Path is a multi-objective process concerned with setting a form makes qualifications in higher education similar in their certificates and information to the same comparison in university degrees in the European Union countries, and enables the adoption of similar standards in quality and helps higher education in student employment and global competition.

The aim of this new Path in higher education is to improve educational transparency, refereed the reputation of universities and the Iraqi educational system internationally, improve education quality, reduce the gap between the education sector and the labor market, and design new curricula that meet market needs and provide job opportunities for graduates. Learning may be student- pivoting with the characteristic of international cooperation and students' mobility between universities and countries that adopt the Bologna Path and create academic system units such as the European system for transferring academic units facilitates the transfer of students between universities.

As this path will completely change the higher education system in Iraq for the better, as it will establish a comprehensive and innovative approach to learning and teaching that has the characteristic of integrated national cooperation in higher education and research, innovation, and securing a sustainable future.
