The Continuing Education Center organizes a training course about the effects of addiction
The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Technology organized a training course on the health and psychological effects of addiction on university students. It was delivered by Prof. Dr. Suhair Muhammad Zaki from the Department of Computer Science and Dr. Firas Abbas from the Office of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs.
The course aimed at training on addiction prevention methods, knowing the psychological effects and reaction in cases of addiction, clarifying the mechanism of action when discovering the first stages of addiction, and how to follow the first steps to report the addict and limit its spread.
Its curriculum included the concept of addiction, the causes of addiction, the psychological effects of the addict and abuser, and preventive and curative methods .
