Electromechanical Engineering Department organizes a scientific visit for 4th stage students to the General Company for Steel Industries
Within the framework of cooperation between universities and other ministries, the Electromechanical Engineering Department, Systems Engineering Branch, organized a scientific visit to the General Steel Industries Company, where the students were accompanied by the Head of the Systems Engineering Branch, Professor Dr. Esraa Saad Ahmed, and Professor Dr. Adnan Ghareeb and they were received by Engineer Ahmed Hamid Zein El Din, General Manager of the company and Head of the Media and Public Relations Department.
The visit aimed to acquaint the students with heavy engineering equipment manufacturing laboratories and how to manufacture and operate machines, with a focus on manufacturing activities, and to acquaint them with production lines and modern machines for the purpose of linking theoretical study with practical applications (field study).
The head of the Systems Engineering Branch, Dr. Israa Saad Ahmed pointed out the importance of field exposure for students in achieving a state of scientific integration between theoretical study and its practical applications and direct access to modern scientific machines and devices in the field of their scientific specializations.
The students visited the factory of the private steel foundry factory, and the engineering staff in the factory provided a brief explanation about the nature of the work of this factory, the production lines in it, and the products that are manufactured according to the latest international specifications, and about the joints of the production lines and the types of machines and equipment and their various capabilities, in addition to the technological approach that controls the production method. Practice and types of products.
At the end of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude and admiration for this scientific visit and wished to repeat such visits because of their positive impact on changing and developing their thoughts.
