The University of Technology attends the opening of the National Green Education Conference

The National Green Education Conference opens with attendance from the University of Technology.
The University of Technology participates in the inauguration of the National Green Education Conference.

The University of Technology, represented by Professor Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and High Studies, and her delegation, attended the first day of the National Green Education Conference at Al-Farahidi University, in the presence of the Acting Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Professor Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Abodi and a number of representatives of UNESCO, international organizations, agents, heads of universities and mayors of State and private colleges.

In his statement, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research stressed that Iraq's international partnership with UNESCO should be invested in the areas of green education, sustainable development goals, and environmental challenges. He added that Iraq was part of the global partnership with UNESCO in the areas of green education and that this phase required moving towards a future of sustainable action, which must be based on the higher education sector as a vital basis for achieving development goals and exposing environmental challenges.

For his part, the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives paid tribute to Professor Mohsen Mandalawi and the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Higher Education, Dr. Mazaim Al-Salikh, for the indicators of scientific development in Iraqi institutions of higher education and scientific research, for the upgrading of global classifications, and for the realization of productive partnerships in the green education environment.

The Under-Secretary of State for Scientific Research, Dr. Hyder Abdeldehd, and the representative of the UNESCO Office, Mizón, made a presentation on the sustainable development paths and the scientific research index in this area.
