Applied Sciences Department at the University of Technology holds a lecture on combating intellectual terrorism

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghaban, and the direct supervision of the Head of the Applied Sciences Department, Professor Dr. Raed Abdel Wahab Ismail, and the implementation of the Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, Assistant Professor Mayada Hamid Mohsen, the Applied Sciences Department held a dialogue symposium entitled “Combat Intellectual Terrorism” in cooperation with The Popular Mobilization Forces Authority and organized with the Information Directorate of the Mobilization Forces, Mr. Ali Muhammad Khalaf Al-Saray.

The symposium aimed to shed light on the danger of intellectual terrorism and ways to combat it, through discussions and topics moderated by prominent figures in the field.

The symposium topics included valuable interventions by Major General Pilot Tahseen Al-Khafaji, Director of the Security Media Cell in Joint Operations, and Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Al-Nouri, Vice President of the Council of Scholars of Rabat Al-Mohammadi and Assistant Director-General of the General Directorate for Combating Intellectual Terrorism, under the supervision and management of Professor Dr. Sabah Zanganeh, Head of the Center for the Union of Strategic Experts.

The University President, Ahmed Hamad Hassan Al-Ghabban, stressed in his speech the necessity of combating terrorist ideology, specifically killing negative rumors while they are still budding, in order for security and safety to prevail in our beloved country, praising the extraordinary sacrifices made by the heroes of the Holy popular crowd Forces.

For his part, Head of the Department of Applied Sciences, Professor Dr. Raed Abdel-Wahab, said that the honorable sacrifices made by the heroes of the popular crowd Forces in fighting terrorist ideology and eliminating ISIS gangs are only the basis for building a great Iraq through giving in the field of science and knowledge.

The symposium ended with the issuance of targeted recommendations seeking to strengthen efforts to combat intellectual terrorism and confront extremist ideas.
