Computer Engineering Department host a Cultural Festival of Al- Anwar Al-Muhammadiyah Birth 

Computer Engineering Department hosted a Cultural Festival of Al- Anwar Al-Muhammadiyah Birth, which was held by the Presidency of the University of Technology in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Holy Abbasid Shrine, attended by the Head of the Computer Engineering Department, representing the University Presidency, Prof. Dr. Hassan Jalil Hassan and a delegation from the Holy Abbasid Shrine represented by Mr. Adnan Al-Moussawi, administrative and faculty of University of Technology staff and a large number of students in conference hall.

The celebration opening with the recitation of a verse from the Holy Qur’an, recited by Haider Karim, followed by the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah to the souls of the martyrs of the scientific march, then the playing of the national anthem and the anthem of the Fathers of the Abbasid Shrine.

The President speech of the University of Technology is delivered by Prof. Dr. Hassan Jalil Hassan, the Head of Computer Engineering Department, in which he welcomed the attendees and thanked their efforts in holding such festivals to raise student awareness. And then the speech of Mr. Adnan Al-Moussawi, representative of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's holy shrine.

The celebration included the participation of a number of Ahl al-Bayt’s poets, during which they presented poems and chants talks about their fragrant memory. They were the poet Mohammad al-Fatimi, Mohammad Amir al-Tamimi and Mohammad Baqir.

The festival also included intellectual competitions related to Shaabania birth, in which the winners received blessing gifts from the staff of the General Secretariat of the Abbasid Shrine.

The festival concluded by honoring Prof. Dr. the Head of the Department, Hassan Jalil Hassan, with the Abbasid Shrine shield, in addition to honoring the representative of the Abbasid Shrine, Mr. Adnan Al-Moussawi, with a shield presented by the Presidency of the University of Technology, and honoring the Director of the Internal Departments, Dr. Muhannad Najah Al-Sharoufi, with the Abbasid Shrine shield as well.
