Chemical Engineering Department celebrates International Women's Day in appreciation of the role they play in society.

The Women's Affairs Unit in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Technology organized an extensive celebration on the occasion of International Women's Day.

The celebration included a speech by the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Khaled Ajami Sukkar, in which he stressed that celebrating International Women’s Day is an appreciation of the role that women play in their society in all areas of community service, as it is imperative for us to salute them on this occasion because they have been able to go beyond All the obstacles facing the exercise of their true role in giving and building, making this occasion an annual tradition that represents a recognition of the existence of women, their dignity, their rights and their equal participation with men in all fields, and an appreciation for the pioneering women in the new Iraq, who have played a pioneering role in promoting culture, development and peace, and this has represented In multiple campaigns and activities, which gave a strong momentum to the women’s movement in achieving its programs on the ground, and the best evidence of this is the excellence of women and many female students academically at the university level. Wishing all female teachers, employees and students safety, security, success and progress in their work and life, and that this occasion be repeated in every way. In general, women in Iraq excel, innovate, and shine to contribute to building and rebuilding Iraq, the family, and society.

At the conclusion of the celebration, many female lecturers, employees and students from the department were honored who appreciated this generous gesture from the head of the department in supporting working women and encouraging them to contribute to construction and reconstruction and to assume leadership positions in the service of the new Iraq.
