Applied Sciences Department holds a workshop on employing the university’s capabilities and efforts to serve the community

 

The Applied Sciences Department, in cooperation with the Student Activities Department and the University Environment Incubator Division at the University of Technology, held a workshop entitled “Utilizing the capabilities and efforts of the university family to serve the community,” presented by Prof.Dr. Imad Jassim Hashem from the Student Activities Department, and Dr. Nasser Abdullah Muhammad, from the Medical and Industrial Materials Science Branch, and Dr. Manal Abdel Wahed Abboud from the Incubator and University Environment Division.

The workshop was launched in the presence of the head of the department, Dr. Raed Abdel Wahab Ismail, and a number of lecturers and students from the Medical and Industrial Materials Branch.

It included highlighting the capabilities available at the university and investing in them to strengthen the infrastructure for university education and employing the outputs to serve the community.

The workshop addressed several topics, including: the university’s human, material, and moral capabilities, i.e. “the philosophy of education in the service of society,” as well as the infrastructure of university education, which includes the academic level of the university student, community and national culture, in addition to student activities that include physical activities, healthy nutrition, and combating drugs, as well as Training and qualifying students and graduates within entrepreneurial projects and integrating them into the labor market and university incubator.
