Department of Production and Metallurgy Engineering holds a Lecture on the Psychological Repercussions of Drug Abuse

The Department of Production and Metallurgy Engineering at the University of Technology held a lecture on the psychological repercussions of drug abuse in the hall of the late Prof. Dr. Jassim Al-Hayani. The lecture was attended by the Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhannad Muhammad Hussein Al-Khafaji, and several faculty members, staff, and students.

The department hosted prominent media personality Issam Ksheesh, presenter of the program "Their Stories," which airs on Al-Iraqiya TV, to discuss the psychological repercussions of drug abuse and his impressions of the stages of addiction and recovery for users.

The lecturer addressed the causes of drug abuse, the effects of addiction, and its impact on families and society. He also discussed methods of preventing and treating drug abuse, which has become increasingly complex and dangerous for humans, and how to protect our children from this scourge.

At the conclusion of the lecture, the Head of the Department awarded the Shield of Excellence and Creativity to Lecturer Issam Ksheesh in appreciation of his contributions and efforts in raising awareness among young people about the dangers of drugs and strengthening their role in combating them.
